Meet the Wine Maker
Hello,
My name is Ray Curtis, and I am the owner and winemaker for the Northwest Mountain Winery. My history with wine goes back 30 years ago to a small family winery in central Ohio called Shawnee Vineyards. I worked at Shawnee Vineyards for several years as a teenager in the vineyards, in the cellar, bottling, labeling, racking, and any other job they could find for me. Since that time, I have never lost my love of the art of making a fine wine. About ten years ago I moved to the Pacific Northwest. I began to visit the many wineries throughout the state of Washington, and the love for winemaking exploded. The more Washington wineries I visited, the more the memories flowed. I knew that I had to start making wine. After polishing my skills in the kitchen making wine for my family cookouts, parties and camping trips, I am ready to share my art with you.
